Jenny Pery's semi-abstract landscapes derive from sketches made on travels around the world.
Painting in oil on canvas or working as a printmaker with inks and presses, she abstracts from the drawings made in numerous sketchbooks, seeking to recreate the mood of the place portrayed.
Her travels to China, India, Bhutan, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Norway, the Arctic, and Antarctica, have engendered many hundreds of monotypes, each a unique painting offset onto paper with the aid of an etching press.
